Complements university support
Mentoring can sit alongside disability advice, wellbeing services, academic adjustments, and other institutional support.
For university teams
Fly High Mentoring supports students to access and succeed in higher education through structured, role-boundaried specialist mental health mentoring.
Benefits for universities
The service is positioned for university stakeholders who need reliability, clear role boundaries, safeguarding awareness, and practical communication.
Mentoring can sit alongside disability advice, wellbeing services, academic adjustments, and other institutional support.
The service is framed as specialist mentoring, not therapy, counselling, crisis care, tutoring, or assignment support.
Remote delivery can be discussed around student preference, access needs, confidentiality, and capacity.
Liaison with university teams should be purposeful, proportionate, and based on consent unless risk or safeguarding duties require escalation.
The service should have clear escalation routes for immediate risk, welfare concerns, safeguarding issues, and out-of-scope support needs.
Availability is checked before support is agreed so students are not directed toward a service that cannot be delivered.
Compliance-aware delivery
Fly High Mentoring currently provides remote, private mentoring. Future partnership conversations can focus on study access, workload, routines, goal setting, confidence, communication, and independence.
It is not therapy, counselling, clinical treatment, crisis support, subject tutoring, assignment writing, or a replacement for reasonable adjustments made by the higher education provider.
Serious concerns should be escalated through agreed routes, documented proportionately, and handled within the limits of the mentoring role.
Student information should be shared only where needed, with consent where appropriate and clear limits where there is risk of harm.
Remote sessions are planned with privacy, accessibility, and appropriate communication arrangements in mind.
Mentoring does not remove the university or college's responsibility to consider reasonable adjustments under equality law.
Partnership fit
Use the partnership form to discuss capacity, delivery approach, safeguarding expectations, and referral routes.
